    ■ Public Toilets Act (Oct. 4, 2023)
    Article 12 (Facilities Inspection) The head of a -si/-gun/-gu must conduct regular inspections at least twice a year, and additional inspections as necessary, to verify whether public restrooms are being properly maintained in accordance with Articles 7, 7-2, and 8. During these inspections, they must also check whether cameras or other devices with similar functions have been installed inside the public restrooms.

    ■ Seoul Metropolitan Government Ordinance on the Prevention of Illegal Filming in Public Restrooms (Oct. 4, 2023)
    Article 4 (Establishment of a Continuous Inspection System for Public Restrooms, etc.) October 4, 2023 ① The mayor shall establish a continuous inspection system to check for the installation of illegal filming devices in public restrooms, in order to ensure the safe use of public restrooms by citizens.
    ■ Gyeonggi-do Ordinance on the Prevention of Illegal Filming in Multi-use Facilities (Mar. 4, 2022)
    Article 3 (Duties of the Governor) The Governor of Gyeonggi-do (hereinafter referred to as the “Governor”) shall make efforts to establish policies necessary to prevent illegal filming, ensuring the safe use of multi-use facilities.
    ■Incheon Metropolitan City Ordinance on the Prevention of Illegal Filming in Public Restrooms, etc. (Dec. 30 2022)
    Article 3 (Duties of the Mayor) The Mayor of Incheon (hereinafter referred to as the “Mayor”) shall establish policies necessary to eradicate and prevent illegal filming, ensuring that users can safely use public restrooms and similar facilities.
  • Ordinances Related to Office of Education
    ■ Gyeonggi-do Office of Education Ordinance on the Prevention of Illegal Filming in Restrooms, etc. (Feb. 27, 2023)
    Article 5 (Establishment of a Continuous Inspection System for Restrooms, etc.) ①The Superintendent of Education shall establish a continuous inspection system to check for the installation of illegal filming devices in restrooms and similar facilities, ensuring that students and staff can use these facilities safely.
    ② When establishing a continuous inspection system pursuant to Paragraph 1, the Superintendent of Education may allocate the necessary budget. ③ The periodic inspection shall be conducted at least once in each half of the year.
